When farmers thrive, communities thrive.
Dairy is more than a business in Kenya — it is school fees, food on the table, and a path out of poverty for hundreds of thousands of families. As a Githunguri dairy farm, we feel a responsibility to make that path a little easier for the farmers around us.
Our social responsibility isn’t a side project. It runs through how we sell, who we train, how we treat our animals, and how we care for the land — because those are the same things that build a dairy sector worth being part of.

Empowering smallholder farmers
We share the breeding and feeding knowledge behind our high-yield herd with the farmers who buy from us — because a farmer who succeeds comes back, and tells their neighbours. Training, farm visits, and honest advice are part of every sale.
Protecting farmers' investments
Through our partnership with CIC Insurance, we help farmers cover the real risks of dairy — animal mortality, disease, and losses to daily milk income — so a single setback doesn't undo years of work.
Creating rural opportunity
Dairy is one of Kenya's great engines of rural employment. We create jobs on the farm and along our supply chain, and we prioritise young people and women looking to build a future in agriculture.
Animal welfare
Healthy, well-treated cows are productive cows. Good nutrition, clean housing, routine health care, and low-stress handling aren't just ethics — they're how we reach 45–50 litres a day.
Caring for the land
Better land means better herds for the next generation. We promote manure and slurry management, biogas, and forage practices that keep the soil healthy and reduce waste on the farms we work with.
Strengthening the dairy value chain
By lifting the genetics and productivity of herds across the region — and into East African markets — we help build a stronger, more resilient dairy sector for everyone in it.
